Hope on the Streets

Gems Uncovered was established as a nonprofit established in July 2011, by Founder, Mary E. White, when she answered a calling to help victims of human trafficking. Once she was aware of this horrible injustice, she took to action! As a result, she put in place Gems Uncovered signifying that no matter the circumstance or situation that each person is a “gem” and her job was to organize a nonprofit to provide needed services for prevention and aftercare by helping each victim or survivor uncover their divine gem qualities within.

Hope for the Homeless

Open Arms was founded in 1999 and then re-organized as Kingdom Causes Bellflower in 2004. The organization was founded by a group of individuals who wanted to love and transform Bellflower in ways that no individual or church could on their own. Over the years, KCB has developed partnerships with individual donors and volunteers, churches, non-profit organizations, and government officials in order to create long-term solutions for community development, including housing, job creation, and neighborhood development. While programs and services have evolved over the years to meet the changing needs of the surrounding neighborhoods, KCB has maintained a focus on being a catalyst for change within the community by building coalitions that are focused on the personal and economic development of area residents.

Kingdom Causes Bellflower is a Christian Community Development Organization that firmly believes in serving all our neighbors, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views or sexual identity. We strongly believe that all of us are better than any of us.  We value people over program and relationships over systems.  As bridge-builders, we work for both unity in the Christian community of faith and to build collaborations with anyone in Bellflower working for the good of the whole community.

All gifts are priced at $5 or less, and all proceeds go directly back into the community via Kingdom Causes Bellflower and Rosewood Church.

Our goal this year is to collect over 700 gifts for the we need your help! Please donate gifts of at least $10 value at our office, 16429 Bellflower Blvd. Bellflower, CA 90706 or at Rosewood Church 10115 Rose St. Bellflower, CA 90706.

Hope for Families in Crisis

Convoy of Hope was founded in 1994 by the Donaldson family. Their inspiration for starting the organization can be traced back to the many people who helped their family after their father, Harold, was killed by a drunk driver in 1969. Today, more than 130 million people have been served throughout the world by Convoy of Hope. We are proud that we work through churches, businesses, government agencies, and other nonprofits to provide help and hope to those who are impoverished, hungry, and hurting.

Convoy of Hope is a faith-based, nonprofit organization with a driving passion to feed the world through children’s feeding initiatives, community outreaches, and disaster response.

Hope for Families in Crisis

The story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-37) gives a clear picture of God’s desire for us to help those in desperate need wherever we find them. After describing how the Samaritan rescued a hurting man whom others had passed by, Jesus told His hearers, “Go and do likewise.” For over 40 years, Samaritan’s Purse has done our utmost to follow Christ’s command by going to the aid of the world’s poor, sick, and suffering. We are an effective means of reaching hurting people in countries around the world with food, medicine, and other assistance in the Name of Jesus Christ. This, in turn, earns us a hearing for the Gospel, the Good News of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ. The organization serves the Church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Hope for the Next Generation

At Pondo, the power of the gospel motivates everything we do, from the spirit led chapel sessions of worship and teaching to serving hungry campers in the food line and everything in between. Our desire is to see the kingdom of God grow as campers encounter the love of God and the Truth of His story; uniting people and churches in the name of Jesus.

Every detail that goes into the planning of an unforgettable camp experience is directed at those transformational moments when unknown purpose sparks to new life, when broken people become a little more whole, and strangers begin to come together as family. As we create space for unique encounters with Jesus, we become the door holders into his presence—and its there, in Christ’s presence, that transformation happens. It’s not about what we do, it’s about who we encounter.

We believe that Crazy Fun paves the way for spiritual breakthrough as it builds friendship and trust while breaking down barriers. Because of that, camp is all inclusive which means we don’t charge extra for any activities and we focus on providing the funnest, craziest, most memorable experience for each camper. Camp is a place where kids get to be kids in a safe and fun environment.

Hope for the Incarcerated

Prison Fellowship® works to restore America’s criminal justice system and those it affects. We help men and women replace the cycle of brokenness that landed them in prison. We advocate for justice reform and activate grassroot networks to do the same. We equip wardens to bring restorative change to their facilities. We care for prisoners’ families and help strengthen the bond between children and their parents who are behind bars. We call the Church to lead the way in caring for those impacted by the criminal justice system. And we do it all from a biblical worldview.

Incarceration can strain family ties to the breaking point. Angel Tree shares the love of Christ in a tangible way and strengthens family bonds, delivering personalized gifts and the Gospel to children on behalf of their incarcerated parents at Christmas. Every Angel Tree family is also given access to a free, easy-to-read copy of the Bible in English or Spanish.

Hope for the Incarcereated

The Purpose of Camp Agape California is to help children, who have one or both parents incarcerated, to learn how to build healthy relationships, create positive life-changing memories and experiences. Our desire is to allow our kids to be kids through fun activities and to facilitate healing and restoration by teaching and equipping them through the sharing of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through love, trust, forgiveness, hope and prayer.

The Camp Agape California Camps are empowered by our generous supporters and donors who enable our team of volunteers to send the children to a four-day camp at no charge to them. Camp Agape California is fueled by a passionate team of Volunteers and committed believers who want to make a difference in the lives of these children, make positive impacts to our California communities by disrupting the pandemic of inter-generational incarceration, and facilitate breakthrough healing and growth through the teachings of Jesus Christ.

A Home for Mission Guests

Our Calvary Mission House provides housing for visiting missionaries, pastors, and ministry teams from churches and ministries all over the world. We are honored to provide this housing free of charge to help with the cost of travel expenses and the stress of finding accommodations.

This building has stood here in Bellflower as a symbol of hope for over 50 years. What it says loud and clear to our community is that no matter what is happening around us, there is still hope in God. And with that, we, the Calvary Family, are here for this community.

Our ultimate goal is to be on mission with God locally and globally. We are a church on mission not just a church that gives to missions. Someone once said, “The light that shines the farthest shines brightest at home.” As the Calva- ry Family, we understand that keeping our home mission healthy and growing is just as important as sending missionaries out, building new build- ings, and planting new churches all over the world. A heart for missions is in the DNA of this Church and that heart beats for the person across the street just as much as for the person across the ocean.

Let’s continue to build our home mission to more effectively “Love God, Love Others, and Change the World.”

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me every- where—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
-Acts 1:8
